Dead Man Walking - Vigo

For the past 2 1/2 days my friend Becky has been under the weather and was even questioning whether she would be able to walk on our first Camiño day to Vigo. It was a 27 KM day, but felt like a 27 mile day!

She was a real trooper and went the distance…through rain, mud, inclines, declines, and city streets. 10 hours after we left our hotel in Baiona, we arrived in Vigo.

Vigo is a vibrant city, with ocean views, parks, a castle, and lots of stores and markets.

Overall, this was an amazing day of connection with our CMASAS group. Everyone is so loving and helpful. Interestingly, we did not see many other Camino pilgrims. I think I might’ve counted a handful while we were walking and maybe another handful when we stopped at some of the cafés on the way.

Everyone went out to have pizza at about 8 o’clock this evening, but Becky and I were wiped out - dead tired! It would be an understatement to say that my feet hurt. Tomorrow is another 20+ KM day. Please pray for Becky to feel better.
