With a sunny start to our day, we decided to check out the views of Mt Denali first . The clouds were just starting to cover the mountain so we at least saw part of it.

I entertained myself by finding flowers on the hike up the steep side of the Savage Creek Alpine Trail. I don't know their names but they make a beautiful bouquet.
We had one night at a cabin in Palmer and checked out the Susitna River on our way to Independence Mine State Park which unfortunately was not open for the season. We had plans to kayak at EklutnaMeer informatie
There was a definite uptick in activity in Cooper Landing once fishing season opened. Fishermen lined the river's edge for miles trying to catch the sockeye salmon which run up the Russian River. OurMeer informatie
