Picasso museum Barcelona Sun 24 Sep 2023

Up at 6.45am, shower and breakfast at 7.30am. Left 9 Placa De Les Ollies El Born Barcelona just before 9am to walk to the nearby Picasso museum containing a collection which the artist donated to the city. I was pleasantly surprised at the collection which did not just contain the style Pablo Picasso is famous for. Unfortunately I could not take the backpack in and and had to leave it in a locker without locking instructions in English. So I did not lock the door. When I returned the door was locked. The staff member repeatedly stated it was impossible to open the door and it was not his problem. Other staff were less aggressive and more helpful. Someone else trying to access a locker randomly keyed 1111 and the impossible door opened. Out of the museum around 10am. Walked to Barcelona Beach and walked on the coarse sand away from the water. There were small waves breaking onto shingle at the waterline. Touts kept trying to rent umbrellas or sell coloured material to sit on. Then around noon walked back to our apartment buying bread and goodies at a Sunday market on the way.Okumaya devam et
