Bienvenidos a Guatemala 🇬🇹

Onto the next adventure! From Panama I took a 2,5 hour flight to Guatemala City and then from there a shuttle to the beautiful town of Antigua. My lovely sister visited this place 11 years ago (crazy!!) and she always told me guatemala has been her favorite country in Central America! And I can definitely say what I have seen so far has been amazing! Antigua itself is a cute little town with colorful houses and so many cute coffee shops which lets my coffee heart beat faster! On my first day I went to a coffee shop close by and made a wonderful new friend from New York! Kerry and I spend the rest of the day together, went to a chocolate 🍫 making class and even had some laughs about the children during class who were keeping all the sprinkels to themselves. Later that evening we treated ourselves to some authentic Guatemalan food and wow was that delicious. Tamales, bean paste and guacamole 🥑 😍.
The next day we decided to check out Hobbitenango. Yes! You heard correctly next to New Zealand Guatemala has its own little Hobbiton called Hobbitenango. It’s a little but cute amusement park known to be a great spot to take some instagram pictures. I liked it there since I will not visit Hobbiton in New Zealand and only concentrate on the South Island.
