So I woke up around midnight. I feel rested but am filled with thoughts about the remainder of the trip. While I would have liked to have company, there is something to be said for spending the night alone in nature. Listening to the crickets and frogs, lull one into a sense of peacefulness that cannot be explained. While I know that there are people around, it feels totally secluded and that contributes to the blissful harmony of nature. Dealing with the remains of tropical storm Cindy is going to be challenging over the next couple off days, but I feel like it will be doable.
