Dotombori

Als Nachtrag zum Festival des Lichts, muss ich noch Dotombori hervorheben. Dotombori ist nämlich der Name des Stadtteils, mit den großen Neonwänden. Dotombori ist eines der jungen und moderneren Stadtteile, in dem viele Bars und Restaurants sind. In der Nähe ist Shinsaibashi, welches man fast als Verlöngerung bezeichnen kann. Viele Bars, viele Clubs und generell einer der besten Orte um Abends in Osaka ein Bier zu trinken oder ein paar durchaus gesellige Japaner zu treffen. Allerdings sollte man Japanisch sprechen, sonst ist man schnell am Ende mit den neuen Bekanntschaften.

As a little addition to the festival of Light, I have to talk about Dotombori, which is the part with the big neon commercials. It's one of the more young and lively parts of Osaka, with a lot of restaurants and also a few arcades. Pretty close to it starts Shinsahbashi, which almost is a continuation. Lots of bars and clubs, where you can have a beer in the evening or meet some very open japanese people. You should be able to speak some Japanese though or you'll find yourself stuck pretty quickly, unfortunately.Read more
