Day 3 in Paris
August 10, 2025 in France ⋅ 🌙 22 °C
We kicked off Day 3 in true Parisian style – by climbing the Eiffel Tower on foot. That’s right, no lift for us. Climbing it this way gave us a real sense of the tower’s scale and history. Every metal beam and bolt felt more impressive when you’re working your way up through them. The higher we climbed, the more the city opened up beneath us and the views with each new landing just kept getting better and better. 674 steps later we had summited the top and wow what a view. We soaked in the panoramic scenes, snapped a few pics before making our way back down.
As we wandered through the streets we encountered a group of the classic street scammers, the ones who run the cup-and-ball game. It’s easy to see how people get sucked in they make it look so convincing. But once you spot the planted “winners” in the crowd and the fast hands, it’s pretty clear to see that it is all a setup. Well, you’d think so however unfortunately we witnessed an American lady lose $500USD. She obviously didn’t get that chat from her mum before she left to stay clear like I did - thanks Mum x
We then hopped on some bikes and headed in the direction of the Louvre. Yet another beautiful ride through the streets of Paris. Once we arrived at the Louvre we headed in to purchase some tickets but sadly they had all sold out. So instead we wandered around the iconic courtyard admiring the glass pyramid from the outside.
The day ended with us heading out to Montmartre. What felt like a few more hundred steps were climbed up to Sacré-Cœur (not great after the Eiffel Tower Trek). It was free to enter and it was beautiful. It sits on the highest point in Paris so the views were incredible. We found a spot on the steps in front, settled in and looked out at the view while listening to the fantastic street performer.
With tired legs but so many more memories made we headed back to the hotel to catch some rest. Another amazing day that truely doesn’t feel real.Read more

TravelerAmazing and to think we did some of that just a few weeks ago. You’ve brought it all back. Not sure how long you’re in Paris for but if you can a dinner at Chartier. is well worth while. Fab food and cheap prices and great atmosphere. I’m sure the hotel staff will be able to tell you where it is. Keep on enjoying. Lots love from us. Xxxxx💕
