We made it to Rome!!

A short but most definitely sweet blog today. We have an early start tomorrow and I have left tonight’s blog a bit late!

Speaking of early starts, this morning’s 5am wake up call was very rude must I say but the thought of being in Rome in less than 3 hours made it all worth it! We got up, got changed and headed out the door. Our plan was to take the tram to the bus terminal but that plan was quickly ditched when we were walking around in circles struggling to find the first pick up stop. We were running out of time fast so we bit the bullet and ordered an uber.

Soon enough we arrived at the bus terminal hopped on our FlixBus and away we went. In less then 3 hours we had arrived in Rome and boy oh boy are we excited to be here and one of the main reasons that is, is because we are reunited with Christie again woohoo!

We took another smaller bus to Trastevere which is where we are staying for the next 4 days and soon enough found Christie amongst the cobblestone streets waiting for us. We found a cute little cafe down one of the alleyways for a bite to eat before checking in to our Airbnb, it is just perfect.

We spent the afternoon catching up, doing a little bit of site seeing around where we are staying including the Santa Maria Trastevere and the Piazza Navona before heading back and making a good ol home cooked meal. The perfect start to our Rome adventures!

It’s my 24th birthday tomorrow, how cool that I get to spend it in Rome, Jayde and Christie have planned what sounds like an amazing day so I can’t wait to update you all tomorrow.

P.S I’ve also added in a couple of photos from our cooking class the other night. We made friends with a UK family and they took us in like their own. Lauren had taken these on her camera so they were only sent to me today. I thought they were too cute not to share xRead more
