My birthday in Rome!

Our first full day in Rome couldn’t have been more perfect and not just because we were in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but because it was my birthday!

I woke up to the sweetest surprise a lovely card, thoughtful presents, and a delicious breakfast spread of French toast and fresh fruit. Starting the day like that, I already felt completely spoiled.

We had an early start with a tour of the Vatican booked for 8:30am a surprise from Christie and Jayde. Despite the early wake-up, the tour was absolutely incredible. Over two hours, we explored the Vatican Museum and admired the amazing Sistine Chapel. It was truely amazing and crazy to think that this is the smallest country in the world! How cool!

After the tour, we made our way back to our Airbnb for some relaxation and lunch. A bit of downtime was just what we needed to recharge for the evening ahead.

After some Tik Tok time and maybe a nap or two we got ready for my birthday dinner at a beautiful Italian restaurant. The food was yum, the atmosphere was so fun and the staff made me feel truly special. We were treated to free shots, a glass of champagne, and a birthday tiramisu with a sparkler on the top!

After dinner, we strolled over to the iconic Trevi Fountain. It was as stunning as you’d imagine. We took tons of photos and soaked up the atmosphere. Jayde and I even drank from The Fountain of Lovers. Delish……..

We then wandered over to the Spanish Steps. While they weren’t quite as impressive as some of the other sights, the moment was still memorable, especially when a group of buskers sang “Happy Birthday” to me. It was so sweet and absolutely perfect.

Our night ended with a walk back toward our Airbnb, with one final stop for a nightcap before heading home. I couldn’t have asked for a more special way to spend my 24th birthday!Læs mere
