Pompeii to Salerno!

Today was a travel day, but one of the slower, more relaxed ones which made for a nice change. We didn’t leave Pompeii until around 10:00am, so the morning started off peacefully. No alarms, no rush just time to pack up, enjoy a slow breakfast, and get ready for the next leg of our adventure! Amalfi Coast here we come!

The train ride to Salerno was super easy and straightforward. Once we arrived, it was only about a 10-minute walk to our accommodation, which is right in the heart of town and just steps away from the beach! Such a perfect spot.

We couldn’t check in straight away, so we headed off to grab some lunch and found a pizza place nearby. And wow, the pizza was massive but so delicious!!

After lunch, we wandered through a few local shops and had a little browse while we waited for check-in time. When we got back to the Airbnb, our host greeted us with the warmest welcome, everyone is so nice here! He gave us water bottles for the fridge and a huge slice of watermelon!

Once we settled in, we headed out again to explore the beach and some of the surrounding shops. The vibe here is already so lovely, laid back, coastal, and just a lot of fun. After a bit more wandering, we found a supermarket to stock up for the next few days and now we’re finally winding down for the night.

It’s always a bit tiring on travel days, but today felt calm and easy. Can’t wait to see more of it tomorrow and enjoy a much needed beach day!Læs mere
