• Last day in Salerno

    29 agosto 2025, Italia ⋅ 🌩️ 23 °C

As you probably read from the blog before we were feeling a little sorry for ourselves this mornings so a sleep in and a chill day was just what we felt like. We also got our first bit of rain whilst being on our Europe adventures so it felt like the universe was also allowing us a day to just take it easy. What some people may not realise is that travelling can be tiring so sometimes chill days are crucial for not burning ourselves out.

With Venice on the horizon tomorrow, we had a few errands to run. First stop was the laundromat to do a load of washing. While our clothes spun, we wandered down the street in search of a little pick-me-up. We ended up with smoothies though to be fair, it was really just juice and ice blended together. Still, it was tasty, and honestly, work smarter not harder, right?

By the time we returned, the washing was ready for a quick drying cycle. Forty minutes later our clothes were clean and fresh, and we headed back to the apartment for some lunch. The afternoon was spent finalizing a few upcoming plans while the rain fell outside.

Once the skies cleared, we headed out to soak up the last few daylight hours we had in Salerno with a lovely walk along the beach. 10,000 steps later we found ourselves back home, cooking up lamb steaks and potatoes for dinner.

Now our bags are packed and ready for tomorrow’s adventure to Venice. I feel a little sad to be leaving the Amalfi Coast it has been utterly beautiful but I know this won’t be goodbye forever. Hopefully, it’s just “see you again soon.”
