Day trip to Krka National Park

Today was one for the books. We kicked things off bright and early at 6:30 am. A quick breakfast, a bit of a scramble to get out the door, and suddenly we were off to our meeting spot, buzzing with excitement for our day at Krka National Park.

We met up with the rest of the group, got introduced to our guide, and piled onto the bus. The ride was about an hour, and honestly, it flew by! Croatia’s countryside is ridiculously beautiful, so it was basically an hour long show out the window.

Once we reached where the river meets the sea, things got even better! A boat ride to the waterfalls. Floating along calm waters with the morning sun glittering on the surface felt like the perfect build up to what was waiting for us and wow Krka did not disappoint!! The waterfalls were massive and seriously impressive, roaring down into pools of crystal clear water. Everywhere you looked, it was just beautiful!

We had three hours to explore and the time flew by! We wandered along wooden pathways, stopping at viewpoints to take in the cascades from different angles. The sound of rushing water, seeing fish in all of the waterways and all of the surrounding greenery made it feel like stepping into another world. It was absolutely gorgeous.

After Krka, we hopped back on the bus and headed to Primosten and let me just say the sea there is next level! We have seen some some beautiful blue water on our trip so far but this wasn’t blue, this was a hundred shades of turquoise and blues that almost glowed. It was the type of water that makes you second guess if it’s real!

We had another three hours here, which we split between grabbing a relaxed lunch, sitting on the beach, and exploring the little town. The vibes were immaculate and it was definitely a hidden gem I didn’t know about before today where I would love to spend some more time in.

By 5 pm, we were back in Split, tired but super happy. We cooked up a delicious dinner, replayed the highlights of the day, and crashed into bed early. Tomorrow’s another adventure a full-day boat trip around the islands. We can’t wait!Læs mere
