• Our 8th Country - Greece

    6. september 2025, Grækenland ⋅ ☀️ 32 °C

    Whoops another double post!

Yesterday was a travel day for us so not too many pictures were taken! But it was an exciting day nonetheless as we made it to our 8th Country Greece!

We started our morning nice and slow as we didn’t need to be at the airport until 4pm! Once we were ready, we got up, had some breakfast and then packed our bags. We had to stay in a hostel for our final night in Croatia and we were lucky enough to be able to leave our bags at the hostel while we headed out for the day.

What better way to spend a warm sunny morning then going for a nice walk! It was time to tackle Marjan Hill. I was a little bit hesitant in this heat as I’d heard that there were plenty of stairs and a steady incline but surprisingly it actually wasn’t that bad. Easier than Tamaki in my opinion! Before we knew it we were at the top and had an incredible view over split. There was even a zoo along the way that we passed.

After soaking in the views we made our way back down and headed to find some lunch. I felt like something cool after that so an Oakberry Acai was calling my name. Jayde opted for a delicious focaccia!

It was almost nearing our time to head to the airport so we got one last taste of the ocean before heading back to the hostel to pick up our bags. We grabbed the local airport shuttle to the airport, checked our bags in and then did a little more planning whilst waiting to board.

We had the most picture perfect flight to Athens with the sun setting in front of us. An hour and a half later we touched down, grabbed our bags and headed to our Airbnb. A jam packed day in Athens was ready and waiting for us!
