Discovering Paros

Today was one of my favourite days yet. Wow, this trip just keeps getting better and better!

We started the morning with a proper breakfast, something we haven’t really done since being in London. Sitting down to enjoy something fresh and delicious felt divine, the perfect way to kick off the day.

Afterward, we hopped on a bus to Naoussa, a charming seaside town just 15 minutes from Parikia. The narrow streets were lined with boutiques, cafés, and the prettiest little shops. I couldn’t resist and treated myself to a new dress. I could tell by the way that Jayde looked at me when I stepped out of the changing rooms that I couldn’t leave without it.

We wandered through the town before stopping for lunch, and yes, we had gyros again. Are we surprised?? Probably not. Honestly, this one was my favorite so far so flavorful and yum!

Next, we took a short 10-minute bus ride inland to Lefkes, a tiny landlocked town with winding streets and tiny shops. It was peaceful and pretty, but quite small, so after a little stroll and a few pictures we decided to head back. By the time we got home, it was around 4:30, and we couldn’t resist a little siesta before dinner.

In the evening, we set off around 7 to a lookout point right by the ocean. Watching the sun dip below the horizon from there was magical. The colors, the calm, the way everything seemed to pause for a moment, it was one of the most unreal sunsets I’ve ever seen. I feel so fortunate to have experienced it and I keep saying to Jayde, I feel so rich in life just from all of these amazing experiences we are having together.

To end the day, we finally returned to the restaurant I had to leave yesterday when I wasn’t feeling well. This time, I got to enjoy it properly, and wow the food was incredible. Greek cuisine truly has our hearts, every meal feels like the best one yet.

Paros is such a gem, and today will definitely be one of those days I’ll look back on and smile and remember forever.Læs mere
