• Travelling to Turkey - Part 1

    September 17, 2025 in Greece ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

It has been a big two days of travelling hence the late posts with minimal photos and I was considering just combing the last two days into one post but then a day would be missing in my blog and we just can’t have that!

So here is part one of our last two days!

Yesterday was our last day in Milos and also the beginning of us travelling to Turkey! Our ferry wasn’t until 4.30pm so we had the whole day to fill in. We started the day with our last buffet breakfast, which has been an absolute treat might I add, before returning our ATV back to the rental place. We then headed back to the motel, finished packing up our bags and headed down stairs to check out. Thankfully the beautiful staff at our hotel let us store our bags for the day and said that we could continue using the facilities until we needed to head to the ferry! Perfect!

We hadn’t got our postcard yet for Milos and I was also craving a matcha so we headed off down the street to track down both of those. With goods secured we headed back to the hotel and decided to have a chill day by the pool. We parked up on some loungers and relaxed here for the majority of the afternoon.

Our ferry was unfortunately delayed 30mins but before we knew it we were down at the dock ready to board our ferry! We got lucky on this ferry and our seats got upgraded to premium which meant we were seated next to this lovely couple with the most gorgeous 10 month old baby boy who definitely kept me distracted for the next 4 hours.

We docked in Athens at around 10.00pm, said our goodbyes to wee Remy and then made our way to the train to take us to Athens airport. For some reason around two weeks ago Kayla and Jayde decided a 6.00am flight to Turkey was a great idea not really thinking about the logistics around where we would sleep for the night.

So here is where I will finish Part 1 of this story and I will leave you with two photos that give you a hint on what the outcome of those logistics were and where Part 2 kicks off. 🙃
