• Travelling to our final Country…..

    December 1, 2025 in England ⋅ ☁️ 11 °C

Yesterday was our big travel day from London to Japan, but with our flight not departing until 7pm, we actually got to start the morning slow which can be such a luxury on a travel day.

Jayde was up a little earlier than me and took a quick stroll to the nearby supermarket to grab some breakfast. By the time I was awake, food was already sorted (the dream!), and we enjoyed a calm, lazy morning before facing the inevitable task of packing up the last of our bags.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t stretch our stay at the accommodation any longer, so once everything was zipped up and ready to go, we decided to make our way to the airport ahead of schedule. With a bus and a train to catch, the journey took us about two hours which gave us plenty of time to settle into the travel mindset.

We arrived at the airport far too early to check in, so we found ourselves a cozy little spot to park up and wait. A couple of hours of people-watching, chatting, and snacking later, 4pm finally rolled around and we were able to check in and drop off our bags.

Once through security, we grabbed a quick bite to eat and wandered through the shops, doing the classic airport browse with no intention of buying anything. Before long, it was time to make our way to the gate.

At around 6:30pm, boarding was announced and we got incredibly lucky. We ended up with a row to ourselves! Honestly, the best possible surprise before a 14 hour flight. We settled in, stretched out, and prepared for the long journey ahead.

    Part 2 up next… 🇯🇵✨
