Yes, I know I said we sorted out our train tickets … and made no mention of flights or ferries. We don’t need either.

Well, more accurately … yes we do need a ferry, but not as foot passengers. The entire train will be shunted onto a special vessel for the 20-30 minute crossing.

So, there you have it.

We are settled into our sleeper cabin aboard the InterCity Notte train to Palermo … though we will be detraining in Cefalù. Since we didn’t begin our ‘travel day until 9:30p, and it is getting on toward midnight, I am going to postpone writing about our first European sleeper train experience until tomorrow.
