Uddawala and Yala National Park

An early start to the day, up at 3:30am for a 4am start. Picked up at the hotel by Rohan and our driver. The long drive to Uddawala was interesting, the heavens opened and there was very little traffic apart from dogs lol. Arrived a uddawala for our first trip of the day, this did not disappoint, birds, deer, elephants, peacocks, crocs, mongoose and water buffalo, the park is amazing, we were due to go to the elephant orphanage but decided to stay on at uddawala instead which was perfect. Had a fab lunch outside the park on route to yala, pizza and chips 😁. Made it to Yala for the afternoon safari, wow this place is amazing, we saw an abundance of animals, elephants, monitors, birds, monkeys, water buffalo, loads of crocs and leopards just brilliant!
