    Galapagos - dia I

    May 5, 2017 in Ecuador ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

After a short flight where (they even sprayed the plane to protect the nature of the Galapagos) we arrived in Baltra on the Santa Cruz Island. A guide picked us up and took us to the Puerto Ayora. Already now you could tell the difference of the nature and its wildlife you will not find anywhere else in this world. Sometimes it seemed like the animales are more curious about us humans than the other way around. This nature is just incredible.
From Puerto Ayora we had a 2 hours boat ride on the open ocean, which was definitly not the best thing for my stomach that still was not well yet. But I survived. After the transfer we checked in at our hotel and had our first trip on our schedule. Just 5 min from our hotel was a big lagoon with many flamingos. Compared to the flamingos in Salar de Uyuni the flamingos here were more colorful and had kind of a neon pink. Amazing! Afterwards we walked to the beach where our guide showed us the small village with only 2000 inhabitants.
