Paul and I went ashore for a walk at Port Charcot. Sadly we were unable to walk to a cairn overlooking the bay. After seeing guests poor walking capabilities in the snow at Neko Harbour, the expedition team felt it was best to have a shorter walk today.

Paul and I enjoyed the walk to a point overlooking a bay where icebergs get stranded and live out the rest of their years. Iceberg graveyard.

We saw some penguins in their rookeries. Some had two chicks in their nests. The chicks were in various stages of groth, depending on when the eggs were laid and the chicks hatched.

In the afternoon Paul had a nap and I went on a zodiac cruise amongst icebergs. There were humpback whales, a crab seal and 3 leopard seals. As well as penguins swimming. It was a pleasant afternoon.
