    Stancomb Cove, Telefon Bay, Deception Is

    Around midday the ship sailed through Deception Island's Caldera and headed into Telefon Bay.

    The weather was perfect.

    We went ashore and had a nice 3km walk around a small crater. Views were gorgeous. Fortunately the walk went clockwise, with n easier gradient for ascent. Going up the steep part first - I think people would have lost the will to live. It was steep going down but it was a matter of being careful.

    We saw 2 seals having a snooze on the beach as we headed back to the ship.    Læs mere
