What a hectic flight. 60min delay in Sao Paulo and only landed 1500 in Santiago.
Then a taxi to Valparisio. We were always worried about this leg of the trip. Leave Johannesburg on 30 Dec and party in Valparisio midnight 32 Dec

3hour flight from Santiago.
Right on the southern tip of Chile. Town is grey, windy and cold. Most shops are closed as its 1 Jan. Very clean
3 hour bus drive from Punta Arenas to our base.
Lovely town with great restaurants. Ate vegitarian at El Living.

We decided to hike up to Outlook Britanica on the way the Paine Grande.
Absolute enchanting forest walk but the walk was in excess of 20 km's
