    Cape Tribulation

    May 1, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 24 °C

Today we went for a day trip to Cape Tribulation. Cape Tribulation is about 180km north of Cairns within Daintree Nationalpark 🏞. The first hour on the bus brought us to Mossman Gorge.
After getting an introduction on some rituals from a native Australian we walked through the beautiful rainforest to the Gorge. The rainforest really made it‘s name by some heavy tropical showers while walking.
At the second bus stop we went on a boat for a ride on Daintree river to see the oldest rainforest on earth from the waterside. We also spotted some very rare birds, learned more about all the mangroves and we also saw quite a few salt water crocodiles 🐊 from 60cm up to almost 5 meters in length.
For lunch we stopped at a rainforest resort nearby Cape Tribulation followed by another walk through the rainforest to a nice sandy beach. Unfortunately no swimming bacause of crocodiles and potential box jelly fishes in the water.
