• Swimming, Waterfalls and Rainforest

    Today we are going to explore some swimming in natural lakes in the mountains south of Cairns. After a one hour drive we arrived at Babinda Boulders. A very nice Gorge, several waterfalls and waterwashed rocks in the river. Too early for me to swim 🏊‍♂️. Next stop will bring us to Josephine Falls. Again nice waterfalls but too dangerous to swim here because of 60mm rainfall last night.
    Now on the road for Millaa Millaa falls. Wow - very beautiful 20m waterfall in the middle of the rainforest. Went for a refreshing swim in front of the waterfall.
    Lunch was served nearby Millaa Millaa in a funny old pub. In the afternoon we visited an Australian farm and before heading back to Cairns a beautiful lake (Lake Echam) which was formed in the crater of an inactive Volcano..
