    Thames town on the Coromandel

    Thames was named after the town in England. It saw a Gold rush when 10,000 people sought their fortune in the late 1800's. Then went bust. According to my tour guides nothing here has changed in 50 years. It is now a weekend fishing town where you can catch Red Snapper, Groper and Marlin. We stopped here for a coffee and cheese cake with ginger brisket crust. My tour guides gave it a thumbs up.Læs mere
