Acropolis

It's hot. It's so hot. It was hot when we disembarked at around 9am. It was hot when walked into Athens for some lunch. It was hot when we walked to the Acropolis entrance. 33° and so humid. But, the Acropolis was fantastic. It was also about the most touristy thing we've done - it was heaving with people. Compared to last time Ben and I were here in April and were about the only people there, today it was thronging with people, and hot. Nonetheless, it was brilliant to visit, to see it up close and to see the views from it. We explored lots of the site and mercifully as the time passed and the sun got lower it did start to cool down just a little. On the way home, we found a little unassuming burger joint, Tarantino's, that made awesome burgers! Now for yet another shower and to rest my feet.Les mer
