    Acropolis Museum

    The audioguide through the Acropolis Museum was an absolute winner this morning, guiding us through 60 key items in the Museum. Although occasionally repetitious - yes, we understood that Athena had the head of Medusa on her aegis the first time - it was useful at picking out and explaining key pieces in the extensive Museum. It's also incredibly well designed, chronologically, but also in terms of view of the original Acropolis and relational placement to it. There's a lot of references, understandably, to the British Museum, including the empty space amongst the Karyatids for their missing sister. It took a full morning to get through the Museum, which was busy but no where near as busy as the Acropolis itself. And air conditioned!En savoir plus
