    10 juin 2019, Cambodge ⋅ ☁️ 30 °C

Today we woke up equally as hungover but the weather was INCREDIBLE so mils and I and all the Mui ne boys went to sit in the sea to soak out the alcohol - ended up sitting here for an hour just chatting! After this we had to say goodbye to them and our friends from Koh Rong which was soo sad :( our friend Maria from Australia then arrived which was so exciting and we met her friends who had actually just been in Laos with Liz and Daria (random!) spent the day and night with them sunbathing, chatting, swimming and chilling! (We didn’t take many pics - there had been no signal on Koh Rong or Koh Rong samloem so we basically didn’t use our phones for a week - hence very few pics! )En savoir plus

    11 juin 2019, Cambodge ⋅ ☁️ 31 °C

Today we woke up and said bye to our friends from twickenham which was sad! We spent the morning hanging out with our friends Rosie and Nel who were in our room and Maria! At 11.30 we had to leave this paradise - we were so sad it had been the funnest 3 days everrrrr!! Got the ferry back to Sihnoukville where had our first proper meal in 3 days - was divine! At 6.30 we got picked up for our night bus to Siem Reap. It was absolutely COMICAL - mils and I had been told we were getting a hotel bus with double beds. No joke my claustrophobia took over when I saw this bed, we were like sardines in a single bed together and the ceiling was about 10cm from our heads when we were lying down. We met the funniest group of people on this bus though and luckily this made it slightly bearable haha!!En savoir plus

We hadn’t actually booked anything but managed to get a room (shows how relaxed we have got about booking stuff hahah). We then put pretty much our whole bags in for washing and spent the day writing our diaries and chatting with all the Mui Ne boys. Had a yummy lunch and then got ready for the pool party! Was actually really funny and we hung out with our friends from the night bus the night before! Met some girls - one of which had done 1st term uni at Durham and knew Sash before dropping out! We then had the best night ever with Mui Ne boys at the hostel - one our favourite nights out of travelling!En savoir plus

We then walked around with our amazing guide hearing all about the history and he explained what each part meant. Got blessed by monks and we took some panoramas where we got in the photo 3 times. After this we had some breakfast and headed to the next place, Angkor Thom temple - this was my favourite with all the hidden faces! After this we went to Ta Prohm where the trees have grown through all the stone which was incredible. We had the funnest group of people aswell so had such a good day - the hostel manager came with us and we had to wear the funky flash packers T-shirt’s as they took promo pics for the hostels Angkor wat trip - was actually really fun! We then headed back to the hostel at about midday after an amazing morning. Packed our bags and checked out! Said bye to the Mui Ne boys and headed to the airport to catch our flight to Luang Prabang - Laos! This was the funniest thing ever - there were 4 passengers on our WHOLE flight! We could sit anywhere and instead of making the announcement ‘flight VA303 ready for boarding’, they announced each of our names like ‘Carly Munn please come to gate 4 for boarding’ was Hilarious - we had a member of cabin crew each!! Got a tuktuk to our hostel Sunrise Riverside which was so cute and met up with Lauren our bestie from Australia who we are gonna try to Laos with! (So random we had the same dates!) met her friends Liv, Matt, ryan and Jacob from Thailand and spent the evening all chatting! We also learnt some laos sign language! After this we headed up to the primary school and taught 4 different groups of children with varying English ability description and tenses - was so cute! At the end of the day we danced to music with the children and then played maths games with the young adults. Finished the day playing a world map game with the young adults where you look at a picture and guess what country it is from - it’s so fun and their world map knowledge was actually incredible! Honestly the best day ever - reminded me of India and made me miss it so much!
