Uji - Ice Cream, Temple & Cherry Trees

The last stop for today was Uji. It is a small town close to Kyoto and famous for the green tea and the Byodoin Temple. We didn't like the taste of green tea that much so we only tried the ice cream. Unfortunately the taste was very similar to the green tea. Of course there were several blooming cherry trees around as well.

It was the last day with our rail pass today. Tomorrow we will visit Osaka downtown before we will leave this region with an overnight bus to Tokyo.

Der letzte Stop für heute war dann Uji. Uji ist eine kleine Stadt die für den grünen Tee und den Byodoin Tempel bekannt ist. Da wir allerdings beide nicht wirklich gerne grünen Tee trinken haben wir uns nur für ein Eis entschieden. Aber auch das Eis ähnelte doch sehr dem Geschmack von grünem Tee...
Natürlich gab es auch in Uji wieder viele blühende Kirschbäume.

Heute war auch der letzte Tag an dem wir unseren Rail Pass nutzen könnten, weshalb wir jetzt wieder deutlich langsamer unterwegs sind. Morgen verbringen wir den Tag in Osaka bevor wir dann mit einem Nachtbus bis nach Tokyo fahren.

Zum Vergleich der Zug braucht für die Strecke ca. 2,5 Stunden und unser Bus ist wohl 8,5 Stunden unterwegs. Aber wir sparen eine teure Übernachtung Tokyo! #Sparfüchseもっと詳しく
