    Arrival

    We left home around 14:15 and we were making good time until we hit Nowra's outskirts. The traffic was bumper to bumper to the bridge and beyond until we turned off from the main road to Jervis Bay for our lodgings for tonight.

    We arrived at 18:15 and had a few issues with the front door lock when darkness was falling faster and faster.

    Hubby was a trojan for driving for 4 hours without a rest despite my offers to takeover.

    The lodging is clean and tidy and "homey". We had takeaway Thai for dinner and settled in for the night. I am looking forward to our long weekend and visiting Nat, Aiden and the new puppy, Frankie.    Leggi altro

    We had a little rain this morning however it cleared up to a beautiful day in the sunshine 🌞.

    We walked up Queen Street to the Bowling Club Markets first, where the was a lovely handmade leather bags stall however nothing else really "grabbed" my attention.

    Nat bought a dog harness which looks good. Kat bought some accessories and I bought a lovely scarf. We agreed to eat some lunch at Nowra however the place was closed when we parked our cars.

    We ended up at Huskisson Bakery for pies and ate lunch in White Sands Park. It was agreed we would then head home for a short nap before tonight's Japanese meal.    Leggi altro

    Husky Markets

    After an early meet up by 08:30 at the Husky Markets we strolled around the various stalls and checked out all the local artisans and stalls. I selected a lovely photo print of Murrays Beach and resin block (with included photo) if two turtles 🐢. I also bought some sandalwood balm to help my sinuses.

    Mum watched from the local grandstands and we went over to Natasha and Aiden's place for morning tea plus have more time with Frankie the puppy.    Leggi altro

    Heading Home

    We were all up from 06:30 onwards cleaning our lodgings, packing and getting ready to return the keys at 10:30.

    Second breakfast at the Husky Bakehouse.

    We had one more stopover with Nat, Aiden and Frankie and then we hit the road heading north west.

    Four hours of travelling in the car and we were home at 13:45. It is nice to return home and back to home comforts.    Leggi altro
