Stone Mountain

Been in the coach a week and this is our first day doing touristy stuff. Destination, the top of Stone Mountain, not via the easy route on the tram, but on foot. A steady climb with some really steep bits near the top, but it was the heat which made it tough going, we're just not used to it in Scotland. Temperature was high 70s F and sunny. Great views of Atlanta on one side and on the other our campground in the trees by the lake & golf course. We're amazed at how many trees there are in the east coast states.Read more
