Breckenridge, CO

Road trip in the Jeep from Buena Vista to Breckenridge, CO. Lovely drive up the Arkansas river, over mountain passes, passed by lakes and through old mining towns on the way. Some of Breckinridge seemed familiar, but it looks so different in its summer colours. There's so many more buildings since we were here 13 years ago. We rode the 'new' gondola from the parking lot to Peak 8 and which is completely unrecognisable as there's a huge complex there and more going up still. The base is a summer activity centre and was buzzing with people. We had lunch at the Tbar restaurant and then went back down and had a walk up Main Street. Drove up to peak 9 which looked familiar, but eerily quiet as all summer activities are at peak 8. Drive back via Fairplay completed the loop. Great day out.Baca selengkapnya
