RMNP - Emerald Lake

Emerald Lake is number 3 and our picnic spot for today. Great views of the mountains around the lake and we spotted 3 climbers on the middle of the sheer rock face, rather then than us !!! Dead trees are amazing, the air up here at around 10,000' is so dry they don't rot and are twisted and gnarly. Great wildlife sightings - chipmunks and ground squirrels galore, stellar jays, Clark's nutcrackers and many more birds, Stew's in his element.Weiterlesen
