RMNP - Cub Lake

Boy are we glad we came to Cub Lake, it's real pretty as we come over the mountain. We're renaming it Majestic Moose Lake because as were about to head off after a snack I look up to the end of the lake and see a female moose crossing the grass. She makes her way to the lake and climbs in to eat the lilies. She then heads straight across and starts swimming to where we'd been sitting and climbs out to eat some willow. She is a really impressive animal and is not fazed by us and another couple walking the trail above her. Brilliant, so lucky to have such a wonderful close encounter. We on such a high that we skip back down the mountain.Les mer
