First stop was the visitor centre bird feeders were mobbed by yellow headed blackbirds, with the odd redwing blackbird thrown in. Gophers and ground squirrels were running round. Highlight was spotting a couple of baby great horned owls in a huge cottonwood, one of the adults was keeping a eye on them from a nearby tree.
