Picked up our new toy yesterday. A Roller Team Pegaso 590 and its only 6m (19’ 8”) long, tiny compared to our US coach, but like a tardis inside as the bed pulls down over the cab.

Staying at Cornish Farm Campground for a few days, alarm and immobiliser fitted to Minnie today. Had a wander round Taunton and the Museum of Somerset and the Almshouse dates back to 1500. YummyLue lisää
Sheppy's Cider

When in Somerset, you just HAVE to taste some Cider. The Cloudy one was our favourite. Also had a wander through the orchards.
Dunster, Somerset

Quaint village on the edge of Exmoor National Park. 17th century Yarn Market, working flour mill and castle. Chair made of antlers looked interesting but not comfortable!
Gough's Cave at Cheddar, Somerset

Yes cheddar cheese originates from here and they mature the the rounds of cheese in the cave which is at a temperature of 11C.
Cheddar Gorge, Somerset

The village of Cheddar sits at the start of the gorge. Great pasties for lunch from the Lion Rock Tea Rooms. Visited Gough’s Cave and climbed the 274 steps of Jacob’s Ladder and had a stroll alongLue lisää

Morcambe Bay

Trip round Morcambe Bay, famous for its huge intertidal mudflats and sands. Tried to drive out to Sunderland Point but the road is a causeway, and it was high tide, doh !! Weather windy and grey !!
Leighton Moss RSPB

Great wander round the reserve trails this afternoon. Saw a few birds on the water and islands, but it was pretty windy with the odd shower.
Kirk Loch Campground, Lochmaben

Camped on the side of the Kirk Loch a stones throw from Mum & Dad’s. Lovely views of the water, wildlife and golf course.
Aird Peninsula - Argyll and Bute

Parked at the end of the road. First go at dry (wild) camping in Minnie Peg. Great scenery with views over the sea to Jura and Scarba with the infamous Corryvrechan whirlpool. Had a great hike out toLue lisää
