Making a Difference with Sunday Parkways

Ten years ago we had this crazy idea to shut down miles of streets and open them up for people to play in the streets! In our inaugural event on June 22nd in 2008, 15,000 people came out, mostly on bikes, to ride on 6 miles of streets in North Portland. Families, hipsters, neighbors and friends all participated in what would become Sunday Parkways. It was a blast.
