• Day 14 - At Sea

    2024年11月15日, Celtic Sea ⋅ ☀️ 12 °C

So our last full day aboard Sky Princess today. A very rocky night last night as we travelled North towards Southampton. We were up reasonably early today so had the civilised breakfast down in the restaurant. The weather had most certainly changed. Saying that, we have had sunshine but it’s only been around 12 degrees, which when travelling at 20 knots feels cold.

We had the crappy job of packing today (we being the royal we) which we did early on so we could do what we liked the rest of the day. We went to a talk in the Vista lounge about the evolving of ships over the years, navigation and life on board. It was very interesting and it was interactive. The 2nd officer did a great job and was very funny. We really enjoyed it.

We’ve not done much more than that really, we braved the open decks with our hats and coats for a cup of tea and a scone, ate and wandered around the ship stopping off at various places along the way. We have had a fantastic two weeks, we owe massive thanks to a few very special people who made this holiday possible. We have been extremely lucky with the weather, although leaving a trail of destruction behind us possibly and the ship and staff have been outstanding. We have one last treat in store, we are stopping by to see some lovely friends on our way home tomorrow who we met in a cruise many years ago - we are looking forward to that.

Thanks for following, until next time - Adios
