Reality Sets in-Climbing Higher

What a tough day! I think I underestimated how difficult some days would be. The terrain goes from pavement to boardwalk then cobblestone and forest with rocks and tree roots. It was mostly uphill- patience was my key word. Hiking 🥾 in these conditions makes travel take much longer. We are walking 8-12 hours a day. The scenery is beautiful and the pilgrims are all so friendly. Someone asked me if a was enjoying the Camino…..I just stared and didn’t have a response.
