Meteor Crater, Continued

This museum was really cool and they were adding onto it to expand the visitors area. We were surprised to find out the astronauts from the Apollo mission trained here because the landscape is similar to the moon, and it helped the scientists improve the equipment the astronauts traveled with.

The scale of the crater itself is incredibly vast and it’s hard to really convey it in a picture. I like the statistic that 2 million fans could watch 20 football games being played on individual fields all simultaneously.Les mer
