Today was a big travel day from Phoenix to Sequoia National Park. Along the way we took a detour to Joshua National Park and drove through the park. It wasn't really our favorite but we did see the cholla cactus garden which will literally shoot off its thorns to any predictor who touches them. We also saw mountains of rocks and lots of joshua trees. By shear luck we were able to get a campsite at the Sequoia RV Ranch which is a cute little campground along the river at the base of the Sequoia National Park. We're planning a short visit here tomorrow before we head towards Yosemite which we have been warned is very very busy this time of year. We anticipate that it may be a "go with the flow" kind of thing for the next few days.Read more
