Motorcycles and more motorcycles

We arrived in South Dakota today along with thousands of Harley Davidsons on their way to Sturgis. Since it was on our way, we stopped to see all the excitement. The amount of motorcycles was unbelievable! They were everywhere. We continued on to our campground and then decided to go to Mt. Rushmore at night to see the monument lit up. There was a ceremony and movie prior to the lighting that was very well done. At the end all military men/women, past and present were invited to the stage to be honored and to take down and fold the flag. You could hear a pin drop amongst the crowd of people. It was very moving and ranks up there with the ceremony at the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.Read more
