We do a little hike up to the glacier tongue coming down from Vatnajökul. Nice. Lou is almost dying from the effort … she just makes it back alive đ€Ł

We looked at Skogarfoss (very large).. and then the quite hidden Kvernufoss. And that one is really cool - can walk behind it , just like its famous brother the “Seljalandfoss” - and almost NOLue lisÀÀ
Thorsmoerk - soooo beautiful

With a big 4x4 bus we are going to Thorsmoerk. Quite cool to cross a number of rivers in this 45 year old machine. We pass a number of stuck rental cars , đ… too optimistic drivers with too smallLue lisÀÀ

Incredibly beautiful landscape. Weather mixed, so we aren’t sure if we do the big 13km loop . But after 4km, it is looking ok - so we go. Luckily. The best part is at the end of this loop.

Quite cool to see Stokkur spit every 5-10mins, 20m high.Yet again, so much tourism infrastructure. big parking lots, busses, shops, ...too much
Thingvellir NP - tectonic & parliament

We pass by a double important place: Thingvellir.
This is where old Iceland held its Viking parliament sessions - and here collide two tectonic plates: north-American and Eurasian.
