I've had a short day walking on the bicycle route from Vangans, where I stayed in the pilgrim accommodation at Wångens Wärdshus. Simple individual rooms, functional and clean shared facilities. Nothing flash!

The bicycle route was a mix of asphalt and gravel. The gravel never seems to be as easy to walk on as you might expect. It can be difficult to pull my trailer over the loose rock surface, and there was a long uphill section leading away from the end of the lake that slowed me down.

I have found the little grocery shop, and bought some supplies and a sandwich for lunch. My food bag will be heavy again!!Read more
