Skalstugans

This has been the second long day on asphalt. While I expect that there will be more in the next few days, it was nice to get it over with.

The weather was particularly unpleasant, cold, and very windy. I was eventually walking with five layers on my upper body, trying to keep the wind out and keep from getting too cold.

On the way, I passed Medstugan, where I stayed in 2018, and stopped there in a sheltered spot by one of the buildings to eat lunch.

Skulstagens was one of my favourite stays in 2018, but they no longer accommodate pilgrims in the main house. There is a small building annexed to the garage on the main road with four beds available. It is spacious, well equipped, and really nicely done compared to some of the traditional cottages.Read more
