Passau Again

We left Passau headed for Regensburg, our last stop. Or so we thought. After going through another lock that took a very long time, we headed upstream for an hour or so. Then we stopped and turned around.

At a "disembarkation meeting" later that night we learned that the water level was too low for us to proceed and that we were headed back to near Passau. Bummer, but this is late June. Doesn't bode well for July and August cruises.

Our options were: take a 1.5 hour bus ride to Regensburg (and of course another 1.5 hours back), take similar bus ride to Munich or to hang out in Passau for another day. We chose the latter.

Went to the local cathedral for a 30 minute organ recital. We had been told the day before that the cathedral has 5 organs with 18,000(?) pipes and bells. Supposedly the world's largest.Lue lisää
