On to Prague

Left the boat and met our driver, Milan, for the 3 hour drive to Prague. As we crossed the border from Germany into Czech Republic, the terrain got more hilly and it seemed like it became more rural. Went through a half hour plus of quite a lot of curvy, hilly roads. Eventually flattened and straightened out.

Vladimir let us into the flat. Old guy who is a neighbor and basically speaks no English. Of course we speak no Czech. All worked out and the flat is lovely.

Walked around, had a late lunch right by the astronomical clock. Prague is amazing. So many old buildings with interesting architecture. Lots of pedestrian only areas. Many tube cake shops, candy shops, jewelry, souvenirs, restaurants and coffee shops, and rubber duck shops. Apparently rubber ducks are sort of like beanie babies were at one time.Read more
