A day of weather and scenery contrasts

From Lake Tekapo, we took the slightly longer route to Dunedin, hoping to get a clearer view of Mount Cook ... but the change in the weather got in the way of that.

As we reached the coast at Omarau, the temperature had dropped from 28 to 18, and by the time we got to the Moeraki Boulders, it was raining. Then the rain got harder and the temperature dropped to 7, by the time we got to Dunedin.

We looked up Baldwin Street (has the Guinness World Record for the steepest street), before heading up steep and winding narrow roads to our stay at Larnach Castle.
