    Day 377 - Key West

    May 14, 1975, North Atlantic Ocean

    Our ship left Tampa quietly during the night. We were sailing on the high sea again when we woke up.

    Around noon we cruised past Key West. We could even see the lighthouse in the far distance.

    We were headed for Miami now and could observe other big vessels sailing the same course. The sea was calm and flat as a mirror. Otherwise, there isn’t much to write about.

    Dinner was the usual soup, followed by fish, rice, and refried beans. The waiter seemed a little grumpy to me. Maybe he wasn’t too happy to return home.
