Day 379 - Miami

Today we said goodbye to the crew and gifted the captain a nice bottle of rum.

Then we completed the necessary documents at customs and were free to roam about the country. After obtaining liability insurance, we continued our journey towards New York, where we started thirteen months ago.

The Dutch ship’s engineer, Mr. Nelleke, kindly invited us to his home, where we camped under a giant mango tree.

Mr. and Mrs. Nelleke both spoke German. In the evening, we had dinner with them and talked for hours and hours about our travel adventure.Læs mere
